Vaccinations protect dogs and cats at home and beyond
An annual physical examination and a tailored vaccination program for your pet is the most effective preventative health care you can provide your pet. Many dangerous and life-threatening diseases can be safely and effective prevented with vaccinations.
Typical recommended vaccines for puppies:
- DAPP (Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza/Parvovirus) begin at age six to eight weeks, then a booster every four weeks until at or older than four months of age
- Rabies given at fourteen to sixteen weeks
- Leptospirosis given after age twelve weeks depending on exposure potential; booster in four weeks
- Lyme given after twelve weeks of age depending on exposure potential; booster in four weeks
- Bordetella given at eight weeks; booster in four weeks
Typical recommended vaccines for adult dogs:
- Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza/Parvovirus (DAPP) annually or every other year
- Rabies annually or every three years
- Leptospirosis annual vaccine or as needed based on exposure potential
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough) annually or every six months
- Lyme annually or as needed based on exposure potential

- Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory (FVRCP) begin at age six to eight weeks; booster every four weeks until at or older than four months of age
- Rabies given at age twelve to sixteen weeks
- Feline Leukemia (FeLv) at eight to twelve weeks, booster four weeks later

- Feline Distemper/Upper respiratory (FVRCP) annually or every other year
- Rabies annually or every three years
- Feline Leukemia (FeLv) – annually or as needed based on exposure potential
